At Absolute Tree Care, our tree surgeons aim for 100% customer satisfaction with every tree surgery project we take on. We recognise that clear and honest communication plays an important role in achieving this goal.
As such, we have outlined below what each of our core tree surgery services consist of in order to give our customers the best possible starting point for their project.
Crown Reduction – The primary aim of this tree surgery procedure is the reduction of a crown’s height and/or spread. A successful crown reduction lessens the load on certain branches while also shaping the tree to better fit its environment. However, like all reputable tree surgeons, we don’t perform crown reductions simply to achieve symmetry.
Crown Lifting – Designed to solve issues such as improving access around trees and increasing the amount of sunlight reaching the ground in their immediate vicinity, crown lifting procedures solve multiple problems at once. By removing a selection of the lowermost branches, our tree surgeons ‘lift’ the crown to a higher, specified level above the ground. Best practice dictates that large branches attached directly to the trunk must not be removed.
Crown Thinning – For clients in Witney and the neighbouring Oxfordshire areas looking to increase the amount of sunlight passing through a crown, or those hoping to reduce the overall weight and wind resistance of a tree, crown thinning ticks every box. Our tree surgeons remove tertiary branches around the outer crown, thus creating foliage with a uniform density throughout the branch structure. We achieve these results without changing the size or shape of the tree at hand.
Tree Felling – If a tree becomes too dangerous or diseased to save, it has to be felled. Tree felling brings down a whole tree in a meticulously planned direction. This tree surgery service can only be conducted in open areas with a complete guarantee for the public and property in the surrounding areas.
Tree Dismantling – This tree removal procedure offers an alternative to the same problem of diseased and dangerous trees. In more built-up, urban areas of locations such as Witney and Oxford, tree felling simply isn’t possible. In order to remove the tree safely, one of our tree surgeons climbs into the crown, complete with all necessary safety equipment, and cuts away branches and segments from the top down. We lower each branch and section to the floor via a system of ropes.
Deadwood Removal – Somewhat self-explanatory, the process of deadwood removal involves removing non-living branches and/or stems from selected trees. In order to protect the habitats of various wildlife, we only cut away segments that pose a definite risk to the safety of people and property.
Pruning – As vastly experienced tree surgeons, we carry out pruning of any kind in Witney, Oxford and the wider Oxfordshire area. Different species require specific pruning cuts in order to ensure continued healthy growth. With our level of expertise, we only ever inflict minimal cuts that we know the tree at hand can quickly recover from.
